Dr. Joseph Esposito, Co-Founder and CEO of AlignLife, has always believed that true health goes beyond prescriptions and quick fixes. While traditional medicine has its place, he knows firsthand that it doesn’t always lead to the best outcomes. His passion for chiropractic and natural healthcare is deeply personal—it’s rooted in his own family’s experience. And it all started with his father.
After being prescribed medication for a heart arrhythmia, Dr. Joe’s father developed severe lung issues. Climbing a single flight of stairs became a struggle. The medication meant to protect his heart was now stealing his breath. So, he made a choice—he stopped taking it. Within two weeks, he was back on the treadmill, running again.
But his relief was short-lived. A cardiac episode sent him to the hospital, where doctors put him back on the same medication—this time, at ten times the original dose.
Dr. Cristina Esposito, Joseph’s sister and fellow AlignLife Co-Founder, dug into the research and found a disturbing truth.
The drug wasn’t just harming their father’s lungs—it was also damaging his kidneys.
She quickly contacted Dr. Joe to share what she had uncovered, and he rushed to warn the doctors. But, it was too late. Their father’s kidneys failed, fluid built up around his heart, and it stopped beating. That devastating loss became a turning point.
Fueled by their father’s story, Dr. Joseph and Dr. Cristina set out to build something better—a healthcare model that prioritizes natural healing, prevention, and whole-body wellness. And in 1999, AlignLife was born.
